Mitchell Design is a small graphic design studio with big experience.

Mary Ames Mitchell has been designing retail packaging and marketing communications for Fortune 500 companies for over seventeen years, in both Northern and Southern California. She holds a BFA in Graphics and Packaging from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, a BA in Art History with a minor in Printmaking from Wheaton College in Massachusetts and a California Teaching Credential from the University of Southern California. She opened this studio after working for consumer product giants Electronic Arts, Nestlé Beverage Company and Walt Disney Imagineering. Currently on the faculty of the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, she teaches Typography and The History of Printing.

Current and former clients include: Sony Computer Entertainment America, Electronic Arts, Broderbund, The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission, The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, Oral-B Laboratories, wineries, architect firms and health product manufacturers.
